Masculine Monday with Petite Purse

Masculine Monday ....with the Petite Purse ha I bet you though I was crazy to use the purse for a men but I turn this purse in a fishing basket. I think this is the coolest basket. Here what I use the Petite Purse Die #125606, Lattice embossing folder and on top I use the discontinued small oval punch for the oval hole and then I use the small and med. oval punch for the framing, inside the hold I use "Screen" the stuff that we have in the window. So what do you think of this one? The little fish hanging out are from the stamp set Something Sweet on page 61. Okay now how I did this is I use a piece of Crumb Cake 5 by 8 and emboss it with the lattice folder then I cut out my purse with the die. Please note the the top picture I just turn the flap down to close it and it look to much like a purse so the bottom one you can see I re-enforce a fold after my cut out so it make it more square and look like a basket. To view the video on how to assemble the purse CLICK HERE. Well this is it for my Masculine Monday and I have to say that I'm very excited on how this turn out! If you ask me what I gonna put in these fishing basket well I will put some Gold Fish :)  perfect for a men favor. Enjoy and have a great week!

Here you can see good where I re-enforce a fold to make it more square at the top.

  1. You beat me to the punch again France! The first thing I thought of when making the petite purse was that it looked like a tackle box. Guess I should have made one right then and there.

  2. Wow! What a cool idea! So happy I have this die on the way. I know exactly who I'm going to make this for, a June birthday guy that loves to fish. I just knew you would come up with a terrific idea other than a purse for this die. Love it!
