The Great Outdoors

Happy Father day to all the Dad!
For today card I use the stamp set The Great Outdoors on page 50. I stamp the tent on vellum card stock with VersaMark, emboss with Black powder then color the back of it. I have the video on how to emboss and color on vellum CLICK HERE TO VIEW. The DSP that I use is the "Epic Day This and That" The circle was on it so I only stamp the Chair and greeting (Perfectly Penned page 95) on top of the DSP so a quick card for this busy day. Color of Card Smoke Slate and Crumb Cake and I little piece of Natural Trim #128287 to add a extra touch. Well NO i didn't get the Crosstreck yet still thinking about it. ???? But I spent some time in the kitchen and I will share with you the best bread pudding on earth with you that was given to me from my friend Flo. It is the best one for sure and you will be shock on the amount of eggs.
Top picture is before it goes in the oven
 in a 9x13 pan
Cube 12 to 14 slice off bread (old bread is great for this as long that it's not green ha!)
Sprinkle with cinnamon (i use about 2 table spoon)
1 cup of raisin (I simmer my raisin in 1/2 cup of water till water is all evaporated) pour on top of bread. Use more if you like raisin like me I use 1-1/2

Mix all next ingredient together
9 eggs (yes nine)
2-1/2 cup of sugar
1 qt of half and half
2 t.spoon of vanilla
Pour on top on the bread
Cook at 350  for 40 minutes
Voila you have a great bread pudding but if you need a little caramel on top I have a good one for you this sauce recipe is from Janet from ND.
 Caramel sauce
1 cup white sugar
1 cup Brown sugar
1 cup of butter
1 cup of Half and Half
1 t.spoon of vanilla
Bring to boil for 1 minute set aside.  that is it and it will keep in the fridge for a long time and it's great for ice cream to :)
Voila! this just came out of the oven.
Yes my plan shifted a little yesterday not to much time in the craft room but this week will be lots of time in it. My friend Sheila from MS is coming for the week to stamp with me so we'll be 5 days and night in the room well I have 3 class this week so it will be a lots of rubber burning HA! Can't wait to start creating for a full week :) have a great day and to all DAD out there relax and enjoy your day!
Have a great one my friends.

  1. My Hubby loves Bread Pudding. The best we ever had was in a restaurant, McGuire's Irish Pub, in Pensacola FL. I've made a Ukranian bread recipe that uses several eggs also.

  2. Hi Frenchie love your blog! Can you tell me what is half and half? Is it milk? I'm in Australia and no idea what it is, but would like to make your recipe! Thanks for sharing your great stamping.
