Hello Stampers
For today it’s all about mys sweet daughter nineteen birthday! I will be heading to Laramie to have lunch with my Baby Girl. Not to much of a baby at 19 and leaving on her own…. Wow I can believe how independent she is at 19….hold 2 job in the summer, she work at the WY Vet Lab plus waitress on weekend plus foster dog for Black Dog Rescue so not to much time off for this girt but she is very focus. When collage start again she will only work a few hours a week at the lab so right now she’s making all she can so the winter month will not be so poor 🙂 She is studding to be a vet and she knows it’s a long road ahead….. So you can tell her birthday card is not girly at all well she take a little from this moma not much girly in me 🙂 Her favorite color is blue so I choose Marina Mist and she always do a remark when she goes on vacation at the trinket store it’s nothing with her name so this is why I choose to make her a banner with her name 🙂 She love her name cause no one she knows have that “Nika” name 🙂 but when she’s in a trinket store she think they should have a nick nack with her name…. So now she will have a special card with her name.
Here what I use for her card.Subtles Designer Paper Pack and I cut 2 by 3/4 inch strip and just fold a little on top to hold the Backer Twine and just snip the bottom and I added some candy dot in every point. On the layer of crumb cake you will notice a new embossing folder call Pretty Print #132175 that is in the Holiday catalog that start this Thursday. The cake is from the stamp set Sketched Birthday on page 13 yes this is my favorite birthday set this year. The Happy Birthday is from the set Perfectly Penned on page 95.
Well my friends this is it for today. Have a great one.
“Enjoy today….tomorrow is not a promise.”
Here a picture that I snag from FB She is a Foster “Mom” for Black Dog rescue and she love it. She already save 2 dog this past month. Yesterday her #2 dog got adopted so again she is a brave one to keep them at her place, train them, love them…. till they get adopted. I would never thought she could get a dog for a couple of weeks and then let go but she prove me wrong. Love that girl how down to earth she is…. Happy Birthday Nika!

Hi France, Your Daughter has a huge heart and a beautiful girl. Tell her Happy Birthday for me, good luck on her wanting to be a vet. I think she will be a great one!I can see how those dogs love her too. Mary L.
Happy Birthday, Nika! She sounds like a wonderful young woman! I know you are so proud of her. It takes great strength to get attached to an animal and then let it go to a new home. From one dog lover to another — bless her for rescuing dogs!
Your little message at the bottom of your post reminded me of something similar that I hear each morning on the radio.
You said, “Enjoy today…tomorrow is not a promise.”
This is what I hear:
“Yesterday is history
Tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift…
That's why they call it the present.”
So happy you were able to spend time with your sweet Nika on her special day.
All the best to you from Texas,
Meme
