OMG can you come up for a name for this technique? I was stuck on what in the world I would call this technique. Maybe it been around with a name and never saw it before but I use my little brain 🙂 to make this 4 color. Here the deal post a comment and tell me what you would name this technique and the one that come up with the best name I will mail you one of these card! Lets play the game….. I saw the sketch on Clean & Simple and try to make this with 4 strip of card stock and didn’t like the look of it so this is what I came up with and I love the finish look. It almost look like those paint swatch you get at the paint store. The top card I use the Tulip folder. Dimension for the top one the glossy paper is 4 1/2 by 2 3/4 so your sticky strip need to be 1 1/8. The bottom one is 4 by 2 3/4 so your strip will be 1″ each. You will understand what I mean by those strip when you watch the video. Color ink are; Pretty In Pink, Regale Rose, Rose Red and Cherry Cobbler and Yes this is in the order that I use. The stamp set is Bliss from Sale A Bration and talking about sale a bration click here to found how you can get a free purse kit from ME and free supplies or stamp set from Stampin’Up!
I know that I use to have video days on Wednesday and Friday and from now it will be Tuesday and Friday. Enjoy the video and stop again soon!
Hi Frenchie! I think you should call this technique “Paint Swatch” or “Paint Chip”. I love it! Speaking of loving it; I received your red valentine card on Friday and it's beautiful! I have been waiting to open it because it is going to someone special for Valentine's Day (didn't want him to see it!). This is the first time that I have seen or felt the Stampin' Up Whisper White cardstock (assuming that is what you used for the base) and it is SO SMOOTH compared to ones we can get at the craft stores. I am definitely going to have to get some! Thanks for sharing! 🙂

Good Morning Frenchie! I am in Glenda's downline so really feel like I know you. I really enjoy your blog and videos. I was thinking too, that you could call it “Paint Swatch with Emboss Resist”. I can't wait to try this out today!!
Hope you have a great day!
Ingenious, Frenchie! How about “creative color chip” for your technique. I can't wait to try this!
Your card is beautiful. I love this technique and will definitely have to give it a try. I like Christi's name for the technique “Paint Swatch with Emboss Resist”.
Isn't that pretty! Will def have to try that technique!!! TFS your wonderful tutorials France!
I think you should call it Faux paint swatch technique.
Have a great day girl!
Hi Frenchie, I love this project. I think you should name it Paint Strip Technique.
So fun and pretty. Call it Faux Paint Chip! I wouldn't use the emboss in the title because you can use the technique with or without the embossed image 🙂
Frenchie, another great technique & video!! Maybe u could call the technique “Variegated Stripes”, since it reminds me of ribbon or yarn that is variegated.
Thank u so much for all of your techniques & videos. I always can't wait to see what u will be doing next!
Lots of good ideas on the names! I don't know what I'd call it but it is great and I can't wait to try it myself!
My first comment disappeared into the great unknown, so I will try again: I think you should call the technique, “OMBRE” because if it were a piiece of fabric, it would be named thusly. Keep up the good work; I so enjoy your card style and your blog!
This is beautiful! I'm going to try this on a Valentine's Day card. Thank you for sharing your awesome talents with everyone!
How about color progression technique? It's really great, by the way! 🙂
Hi France.
I'm trying to name this technique.
What about a quarter for each color.
I read you every morning. It's a long I did not post comment. I find my english very poor.
I love this card. I think you should call it “progressive paint chip” or “Color Progression”. I love your ideas. Thank you so much for sharing 😀
Hi Frenchie, LOVE your blog and am amazed how easy you make it all look. I tried your 4 color technique and I ended up with ink up to my elbows! 🙂
Keep up the good work, we love you.
Hi Frenchie (fm Australia). Firstly let me start off by saying WOW….what a high impact card and sooooooo cool looking…I love it and will definitely give it a go as will many others I am sure.
As for what to call it….how about..MERP…Multicolour Emboss Resist Palate technique?? Love it anyhow. Brilliant.
Thanks, France! A great technique and also, the great tip about correcting our little goofs with the lighter color!
WOW! That is such a neat technique. Thanks for sharing.
Great technique and super show 'n tell video. I think I would call it Faux Paint Chip. Lots of other good ideas.
Thanks for sharing this 'yet to be named' technique. I like all of the ideas that everyone has posted. How about the “intensifying hue technique?”
