Need for Speed in the Air

 Hello Monday
OH! Darn back to work today and I'm not ready for it this year at all but life goes on and stamp will keep on going to. Someone say last week in a comment does that mean when you go back to work at school you stop stamping well the answer to this is NO WAY i love stamping way to much to stop that and you will not see nothing different at your end just at my end that I have to have my day plan better and I think I'm pretty good at organization so it will all work good. I did it in the past and I will keep on doing it. For some reason this year I'm not in the school swing at all. Maybe it's because I know when I start back at school Nika my daughter is leaving for college so I think that is the main reason I'm not ready to go back to work. she is leaving Thursday for UW it's only one hour away but she still won't be home every day and I know she will not come down every weekend. In the winter I bet she will not come home that much.... the pass between here and Laramie is terrible in the winter but it's not like she's hours away.  Okay back to this card...
I was inspired by Vicky Hayes for this card that I saw on Pinterest and I did it what we call CASE it. The top one the heart is pretty good but the blue one the heart is very not good. The best thing for this is to start your heart on the left side then come to the right. The blue I started in the back of the jet going to the right to left and that was not good so start on  the left side. I use the stamp set Need for Speed on page 68 and stamp with VersaMark emboss with black powder then color with Real Red Marker. The heart I use a sponge dauber with White ink. Tope on eon Crumb Cake and the blue is Bashful Blue. The Greeting thank you is from the stamp set Itty Bitty Banners on page 134. Well this is it for this Masculine Monday and tomorrow is show time at Frenchie get your popcorn ready for showtime
Have a great day

  1. I saw this card on Pinterest too and loved it! I don't have that stamp but this card makes me think I need to get it!

All the best to you and Nika as you go through this transition. When my daughter left for CSU 3 years ago (yes! she's a senior this year!) I was so sad! But really, the anticipation was way worse than the reality. Now we have our new normal and it's all good! It's only an hour and a half away if I REALLY need to get there.

I'll be thinking of you and hope to get to meet you at Regionals in September!

  2. This cards is perfect. I love it's simplicity!

As for starting back at work, I can totally relate. I too have the summers off and although I like my job a lot, I always dread the idea of going back. We don't start until after Labor Day so we still have a few weeks (I am so thankful).

  3. Love your card. I send about 50 every month to our troops and this will be perfect for that !!
I know how you feel ~ I taught Spec Ed for 30 years and the end of summer came way too soon ! They started last Thursday here (Northern California) and I was sure happy not to join them !!!
I really loved what I did, but now I am so happy to be retired ~ more stampin' time, too !!!

  4. I think this is a very cool design! I've not seen it on Pinterest or anywhere.
