Hi Friends! Tina here, back for another “Passport Pals” post on my friend Frenchie’s blog! Today’s project is a fun one that you can whip up in no time, especially good if you need to make a lot of Valentine treats for your kid’s school, your co-workers, friends, etc.  Grab yourself a bag of clothespins, some Designer Series Paper, scrap card stock and ribbon, the Heart Collection Framelits and you’ve got everything you need to make some of these:

I glued strips of “Modern Medley” Designer Series Paper (#126926) to the clothepins and trimmed off the excess.  Then I used the Hearts Collection Framelits (#125599) to cut out different sized hearts from my scrap papers, including the gorgeous Silver Glimmer Paper (#124005).  I sprayed the Glimmer Paper using a Stampin’ Spritzer (#126185) with a concoction of rubbing alcohol and Pink Pirouette Ink Refill (#111843).

To add some texture I sprayed some hearts with Stampin’ Mist (#102394) and scrunched them up, and laid flat to dry.  Other hearts were simply folded in half.  I used my hot glue gun to add 3/8″ Ruffle Stretch Trim Ribbon (pg 173 Annual Catalogue).

I created the ‘arrow’ using the Petite Pennants Builder Punch (#122361).  The “Love Ya” is from the new Just Sayin’ stamp set (#133200 wood / #133203 clear)  – this set is a MUST HAVE.  I just used my black marker on the words, omitted the ‘bubble’ outline.  Finally, I added some embellishments using the new Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum (#133363), Gold Bakers Twine (#132975) and the large Rhinestone Jewels (#129324).

I left the back uncovered so that I could write my Valentine message, but it would be nice to add another heart to cover up the hot glue.  Did you know that Stampin’ Up! even sells the cellophane bags (#102757 sm) that I used for the candy? You can find an assortment of sizes on page 160 of the current annual catalogue.

I hope you give these a try.  I really enjoyed making them.  So much so that I think I’m going to have have my girlfriends over for an afternoon of Valentine crafting and make some more!  You could even add magnets to the back of the clothespins and put them on your fridge (or filing cabinet at work) with photos of your loved ones! Lots of possibilities!
