Today for our masculine Monday is a fun technique using painter tape or some call it frog tape. You can find this tape at any hardware store or place that sell paint. I love the painter tape for this technique with watercolor background because the tape is water resit so you can have a great watercolor wash background and not to worry that it'll soak on the part that you do not want any color, when we do this tear/rip technique on regular card stock and sponge then we just use rip paper to protect the area that we don't want color on but in this case it is important to have something that the water will not absorb and the painter tape is perfect. In the Meadow stamp set is perfect with the watercolor background.
This month customer appreciation it is all about watercolor background so this is just a little taste of this month customer appreciation, scroll at the bottom to view the cards and how you can qualified for the free PDF for customer appreciation.
I have a video to show you this technique from start to finish. You can find the video on my You Tube channel or my blog post of today. Now keep scrolling down for more detail :) In the video you will see how I apply the painter tape then for my background wash I use Sahara Sand or Crumb Cake and Marina Mist. Let dry then I stamp the image with Soft Suede ink but make sure your surface is DRY. Then remove the painter tape.
This one I use some tap at the top and bottom but the card at the very top one tape the bottom of the watercolor paper.
-Soft Suede or Marina Mist 8½ x 5½ score at 4¼ fold in half Card Base
